Original Mascot Character

This mascot for Ishigaki Island draws inspiration from the traditional Okinawan Shisa. These guardian lions are commonly seen in pairs: one with an open mouth to ward off bad spirits, and the other with a closed mouth to keep good fortune in.

The character translates this cultural reference into a playful and welcoming form, connecting local tradition with a mascot designed to feel approachable and engaging.
